Ivan Hartle is a musician from Vancouver, B.C. His style reflects a musical upbringing, as well as his experience playing college baseball in the southern United States. Eliciting vintage vibes, his fluid genre has elements of soul, jazz, blues and folk. Ivan draws inspiration from the classic soul sounds of Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, to new age artists like Gary Clark Jr., John Mayer, Leon Bridges, and Amos Lee. Performing both as a band and solo, Ivan's memorable live act is characterized by melodic grooves and his strong, soulful vocals.
Ivan burst onto the Vancouver music scene with gigs at The Imperial, Biltmore, Fox Cabaret, Guilt & Co., Railway Club, The Belmont, Anza Club, and many others. He's also toured Western Canada, with shows in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver Island, and more. Some highlights include opening for Jon and Roy, performing in North Vancouver's Shipyards Festival (amongst artists like Bedouin Soundclash and The Zola's), and headlining the Mcpherson Theatre in Victoria in 2022.
Ivan's received national CBC radio airplay (You Got Me, More to Find), and also the Netherlands' national NPO radio 2 (You Got Me). With over 765k+ streams on Spotify to date (470k+ for “Feelin’ Like”, 70k+ for "Shine", 50k+ for “You Got Me”), and various Spotify editorial playlist streams (Retro Soul, Mellow Morning, Chilled Roots), he is poised for continued growth with upcoming releases in 2023.
