Ivan Hartle is a musician from Vancouver, B.C. His influences and style have been shaped by an upbringing surrounded by music, as well as his time playing college baseball in the southern United States. His music elicits vintage vibes and floats between the blues, soul, and folk genres. Ivan draws inspiration from the classic soul sounds of Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, to new age Blues and soul artists like Gary Clark Jr., John Mayer, Leon Bridges, and Amos Lee. Performing both as a band and solo, Ivan's memorable live act is characterized by his strong, soulful vocals and guitar playing.
Ivan burst onto the Vancouver music scene with gigs at The Biltmore, Fox Cabaret, Guilt & Co., Railway Club, The Belmont (Locals Lounge), Queen Elizabeth Theatre Plaza, Anza Club, Cafe Deux Soleils, and many others. He has also toured Western Canada in 2019, with shows in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver Island, and more. He was selected to perform at the Live Acts Canada Best in Vancouver Competition in the fall of 2018, and MRG's Elevate Music Project in 2019.
Ivan's debut single "You Got Me" (released on Feb. 8th 2019) has been met with a warm reception. It's received airplay on many CBC Radio and CBC Music stations including Nightstream, North by Northwest, and All Points West.
