Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Ivan Hartle is a musician who molds a vintage sonic aesthetic with modern elements. Pivoting from a successful United States college baseball career into music, he’s been featured as a popular and emerging artist by DailyHive Canada. His soul, blues, jazz and pop stylings are drawn from the classic sounds of Sam Cooke and Otis Redding, to new age artists like John Mayer, Amos Lee, and Leon Bridges. Ivan’s memorable live act is flush with melodic grooves and strong, soulful vocals.
Ivan burst onto the Vancouver music scene with gigs at The Imperial, Biltmore, Fox Cabaret, Guilt & Co., Railway Club, The Belmont, Anza Club, and many others. He's also toured Western Canada, with shows in Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver Island, and more. Some highlights include opening for Jon and Roy, performing in North Vancouver's Shipyards Festival (amongst artists like Bedouin Soundclash and The Zola's), Surrey's Fusion Festival, and headlining the McPherson Theatre in Victoria in 2022.
Ivan's received national CBC radio airplay (You Got Me, More to Find), and also the Netherlands' national NPO radio 2 (You Got Me).
